Rainbow...

Wow! It's been a while. This will be my first blog entry now that I'm here in Abu Dhabi.

Today, it rained. Yes, in a deserted place like Abu Dhabi it rained and it was also my first time to experience rain here. The rain started to pour at around 12:00 in the afternoon. I was so pissed because I don't have an umbrella with me and because I hate rain so much. Until 5:30 PM came and it was still raining. How can I go home after dropping off the bus?

Fortunately, while I was on my way, rain started to stop slowly. And 3 blocks before I drop off, I saw a rainbow. It's been a long time since I saw a rainbow and as always, everytime I see a rainbow, I feel happy but I guess not as much as the happiness felt by the local people of Abu Dhabi.

There was a family of locals in front of me inside the bus. 2 kids, 2 adults. 1 kid saw the rainbow and she smiled. She noticed me that I was staring at her but I was smiling. She seemed shy that she cannot eagerly tell her family about the rainbow. Then she tapped her sister's lap and told her that there's a rainbow. and when her sister turned her head to look at the rainbow, she was so happy, she grinned and she told the other kid and her mother that there's a rainbow. They all grinned and my heart wanted to cry when I saw how happy they were upon seeing a rainbow. Their eyes were sparkling of happiness and I feel like I should start loving the rain because as what the song rainbow says, there's a rainbow always after the rain.

Really, we can never know how simple things can bring great happiness to someone. We can never tell that the things that piss us can bring smile to other people. We really should know how to appreciate everything in this world. Because everything in this world can bring happiness to anyone.
